Supertron Electronics, a Kolkata-based IT distribution company, which has a turnover of over Rs 900 crore, today said that it will foray into the Valley.

"We will have our office in Jammu & Kashmir and will launch the products during this Diwali," Supertron chairman and managing director V K Bhandari said today.

"I do not forsee any hurdle," he said when asked about trouble in the Valley.

"The IT industry is poised to grow by 18-20 per cent and small towns and cities are growing faster than big cities," Bhandari said.

The company will expand its branch network to Goa, Siliguri and Surat. The company has 27 branches. He said, the company is projecting a turnover of Rs 1,200 crore in the current fiscal and would enter the telecom handset space shortly.

"We will distribute Acer smartphones in the eastern region and have our own handset brand in the near future," Bhandari said.
