Suzlon Energy has won a 100 Mw world Bank-backed project in China. The company has entered into an agreement with Inner Mongolia North Longyuan Wind Power Corporation for 100 Mw of wind turbine capacity. The deal is done through Suzlon's wholly owned subsidiary Suzlon Energy (Tianjin), China.
The Chinese company has asked for 80 units of Suzlon's S64-1.25 Mw turbine. This will be delivered in two loads of 50 Mw each in financial year 2010 and 2011.
Suzlon Energy did not reveal size of the deal.
