Tamul raises follow-on funding
Business StandardAssam-based Tamul Plates Marketing, which sells palm leaf tableware, has raised an undisclosed amount from Upaya Social Ventures and Artha Initiative, the company stated. It plans to use the money to diversify its product line, expand its reach and tap export markets for its products.
Previously, Tamul Plates Marketing had received a seed investment from Upaya Social Ventures through Upaya's Lift UP Project in December 2013.
Helion invests $5 mn in Wooplr Wooplr, a mobile fashion discovery and shopping platform, raised Series-A funding round of $5 million led by Helion Ventures. The Wooplr application helps consumers decide what to buy and where to shop, based on their interests, location and social circle. It gives the user a personalised feed of curated fashion products. The funds will be used to hire top talent, expand the team and grow the Wooplr community.

Stayzilla.com, raised $20 million in a Series-B funding from Nexus Capital and existing investor Matrix Partners. The company plans to use these funds to expand its footprint. On its portal,
Stayzilla.com currently has a total of 20,000 hotels, lodges, jungle lodges, boat houses, and home-stays across 4,000 towns in the country.
Nature's Basket buys ekstop Nature's Basket, the high-end food retailer owned by the Godrej group, has acquired online grocer
ekstop.com, according to media reports. The deal has not been announced yet and the details of the pact are not available. Nature's Basket is likely to rebrand and integrate
