Tata Global Bev consolidated net up 51% at Rs 180 cr

Net sales for the quarter grew 4% to Rs 1,906 cr

Tata Global Beverages (TGB) reported a 51.23% increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 180.03 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2013 as against Rs 119.04 crore reported last year. Net sales for the quarter grew 3.45% to Rs 1,906.23 crore versus Rs 1,842.57 crore reported last year.

The board today approved the merger of Mount Everest Mineral Water Ltd, which controls the Himalayan water brand, with TGB, the company said. The merger is subject to statutory and other approvals.
