Tata Motors global sales decline 20% in December

The company had sold 98,968 units in the corresponding period of 2012

Auto major Tata Motors today said its global vehicle sales, including Jaguar Land Rover, declined by 19.95% to 79,220 units in December 2013, compared to the year-ago period.
 
The company had sold 98,968 units in the corresponding period of 2012.
 
Global sales of all passenger vehicles in December 2013 stood at 49,721 units, an increase of 5.95%, from 46,925 units in December 2012, Tata Motors said in a statement.
 
Sales of luxury brand Jaguar Land Rover rose by 24.66% to 40,244 units during December 2013 as compared to 32,282 in the same month of 2012.
