| US-based communications service provider Avaya International had bought the Tatas' 25.5 per cent stake in Tata Telecom Ltd in April, following an approval by the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB). Subsequently, it acquired the Tatas balance stake of 25.1 per cent. |
| The Securities and Exchange Board of India's regulations required Avaya to make an open offer for another 20 per cent. |
| Tata Telecom offers a range of services such as converged voice, data and video networks to contact center solutions to unified messaging solutions, and customer services. It has also operations in the contact center and Internet protocol (IP) telephony market. |
| The company offers these services in partnership with international companies such as Polycom, NICE Systems and LG. TTL's strategic partners include IBM, HP, Servion and Netsol. |
