The company registered total two-wheeler sales of 160,502 units in April 2013 as against 171,551 units recorded in April 2012. Domestic sales stood at 142,794 units in the month of April 2013 against 151,181 units in April 2012.
Motorcycles remained flat at 67,849 units in April 2013 against 67,966 units in April 2012. Scooters registered sales of 29,692 units in April 2013 against 35,833 units in the same month of the previous year.
The company's total exports recorded sales of 21,714 units in the month of April 2013 against 22,272 units in April 2012. Two wheeler exports registered sales of 17,708 units in April 2013 against 20,370 units in April 2012.
The company witnessed a quantum increase in the three wheeler segment with sales growing by 62% from 2,904 units in April 2012 to 4,713 units in April 2013.
