Uber drivers to learn life-saving skills from Continental Hospitals

Taxi aggregator Uber has partnered with Continental Hospitals and Call Ambulance mobile app to offer life saving skills training programme for its driver partners.

Uber drivers will get a certificate at the end of the training and they will be part of a network of one lakh first responders. The training will also build morale and self confidence among them in handling any medical emergency, Uber said in a statement.

Call Ambulance has a tie-up with more than 50 other hospitals in Hyderabad that will facilitate training in rescue chest compressions, first aid for medical trauma and other emergencies.

According to Deepak Reddy, Uber General Manager for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the driver partners will be capable of handling basic emergency and lifesaving situations with this professional training.
