United Spirits Q2 net up 7% at Rs 75 cr

United Breweries Group flagship firm United Spirits today posted a growth of 7.18 per cent in its net profit for the second quarter ended September 30 at Rs 74.6 crore.
   
The company had reported a net profit of Rs 69.6 crore in the July-September quarter last year, the alcohol producer said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Total income of the company also rose to Rs 1,365.55 crore from Rs 1,087.55 crore in an year-ago period, the filing added.

The company said that the spirit costs in the September quarter were marginally lower than the previous quarter.

Shares of United Spirits were trading at Rs 1,503.75, down 5.56 per cent from previous close on BSE.
