VA Tech WABAG wins Rs 5,800-cr project in Bahrain

WABAG will design and build 40-mld Al madina Al Shamaliya sewage treatment plant for housing ministry

VA Tech WABAG Ltd along with their JV partner Belhasa Projects has won an EPC order in water and waste water treatment space in the Kingdom of Baharain.

The Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) order for Al Madina Al Shamaliya, new town being developed in Bahrin, is for a value of around Rs 580 crore.

The project is funded by Adu Dhabi Fund for Economic Development (ADFD).

WABAG will design and build the 40 mld Al madina Al Shamaliya Sewage Treatment Plant for Ministry of Housing, Bahrain.

This is the first EPC order for WABAG in Bahrain. The company is active in Bahrain through its subsidiary incorporated last year for doing the O&M business.
