Welspun Corp FY11 net up marginally at Rs 623 cr

Welspun Corporation, a line pipe maker, reported a 2.1% rise at Rs 623 crore in its consolidated net profit for the year ended March 31, 2011. It was Rs 610 crore in the corresponding period during previous fiscal.

The company’s net sales went up close to 9% to Rs 8,023 crore versus Rs 7,363 crore.

The board has declared a dividend of Rs 2 per share  with a face value of Rs 5 each.

The shares of the company closed 1.07% below its previous close at Rs 171.6 on NSE on Thursday.
