Meister will be based in Frankfurt, Germany and report to CEO TK Kurien, Wipro said in a statement.
Meister joins Wipro from T-Systems, where he was responsible for their global 2 billion euro system integration business, it added.

He has also held leadership positions with Deutsche Bank and Landesbank Hessen-Thringen in the past.
In his new role, Meister would have the charter to define strategy for each of the markets within Continental Europe and grow the business, it said.
He will continue to build on Wipro's localisation approach, drive marketing and brand investments in the geographies, and explore potential inorganic growth opportunities, the statement added.
"Continental Europe currently represents a significant share of our global revenues and companies in the region are more keen to consider global sourcing than ever before," Kurien said.
He added the company has already enhanced its focus on key markets like Germany, France and the Nordic region.
"We are encouraged by the prospects and are confident that Ulrich in his new role will lead Wipro's next wave of growth in these geographies," Kurien said.
