Zensar Inducts 6 Top Honchos

Zensar Technologies has inducted 6 new persons at the top management level to head its new and existing businesses in the domestic as well as overseas markets.

The company has acquired a shelf company in Germany that will enable the company to start operations in Frankfrut.

The shelf company has been bought off-the-shelf and enable Zensar to quick start its German operations in September.

Announcing the new appointments, Ganesh Natarajan, deputy chairman and managing director, said, "We are confident that our new thrust in key verticals and the experience of outstanding managers who have come on board will keep us on target to meet our ambitious three-year vision of achieving triple revenues."

Sukhnandan Vohra formerly with Grindlays and Chase Manhattan has joined Zensar. Raj Dhillon, who has 20 years experience in software solutions with particular emphasis on the retail business, will head the banking vertical.

Deepak Shikarpur, formerly with Telco and Tata Technologies will head the manufacturing domain of Zensar.

In a move to increase the consulting skills in key verticals, Zensar has inducted R R Dasgupta, formerly with IBM consulting and Dilip Thomas, formerly with Hexaware Technologies.

These two new appointments will enable Zensar to move up the value chain by adding consulting skills in business process re-engineering, process quality, mobile commerce, knowledge management and information architecture design to the traditional software development model.

The overseas sales team of Zensar has also been strengthened with the induction of some experienced professionals.

Arvind Sirrah, formerly with NIIT will be heading the banking and financial services solutions marketing in New York.

While Aamod Wagh, formerly with LGSoft will head Asia-Pacific and Africa operations.

Praveen Gogia, formerly with TCS will head the Scandinavian operations of the company.

In the Nordic, Zensar is setting up two new offices in Stockholm and Helsinki to cater to the growing demand from the telecom and mobile phones sector.

The company has also opened its offices in Hong Kong and Tokyo and strengthened its US and South Africa offices and setting up of several more offices are in the offing.

Two offices have been opened in Japan alone in the first quarter of the current fiscal year.
