After parting away with Trinamool Congress, it is anti-Mamata Congress leaders  in West Bengal seem to be  having an edge in both bagging a berth in central ministry as well as representing the state unit of the party.

According to sources, Congress MPs like Pradip Bhattacharya, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and Deepa Dasmunshi are among the leaders being recommended by the state unit of the party for ministerial berth in the upcoming cabinet reshuffle. Incidentally, all these leaders are known  as anti-Mamata Congress leaders in the state.

“The high command sought recommendations from Pradesh Congress and we have sent that after discussing the name with state leaders. This is the standard procedure we follow,” said a state congress leader.

Congress MP from Murshidabad Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury is almost certain either to get a ministerial berth or replacing  Pradip Bhattacharya as state Congress president.

In that case one of the family member of late Bengal Congressman A B A Ghani Khan Chowdhury (either brother Abu Hasen Khan Choudhury or niece Mausam Benazir Noor ) is likely to find a place in council of ministers in Delhi.

West Bengal Pcradesh Congress committee leader Om Prakash Mishra had earlier wrtten to Sonia Gandhi urging her to appoint three ministers from the state at the Centre as, with Pranab Mukherjee becoming President and the six Trinamool leaders resigning, there is no representative from the state in Delhi. Mishra had asked for one cabinet minister and two junior minister from Bengal in his letter.
