Whether its on social media or in a press conference, Delhi CM and AAP convener, Arvind Kejriwal never leaves a chance to take on the Modi government on some or the other issue.

He regularly tweets on events from all around the country and Modi government's decision to demonetise old currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 has not escaped criticism from the Delhi CM. One such tweet by him ended up causing a lot of embarrassment recently though.

On Sunday, Kejriwal shared a tweet by someone named Abhishek Mishra which said that a man from Satna in Madhya Pradesh had committed suicide in a bank because he had not been able to withdraw cash for the past four days.

Kejriwal added his own comments to the tweet asking PM Modi to look at the plight of poor people of the country.

The story took a turn when it was pointed out by BJP MP Giriraj Singh that the man who had committed suicide had actually come to rob the bank and had committed suicide after realising that the bank had been surrounded by the police. The incident occured at Allahabad Bank in village Bela in MP. Giriraj Singh shared a link to a newspaper that said the same.

The Delhi CM then faced flak from Twitterati for having shared an unverified story just to score political points.

Abhishek Mishra's account was deleted later on.
