Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT) New Zealand, a New Zealand Government funded Institute of Technology today announced the launch of a range of Post Graduate Diploma and Master Degree programmes in India. The new degrees in Applied Management and Information Technology are aimed to help students gain in-depth applied knowledge and skills to make them internationally employable.

The Master of Applied Management is a one and half year programme designed to produce graduates who can understand, make decisions and solve complex applied management problems in the workplace. There are eight areas of professional competence (money, markets, people, planning, technology, innovation, globalisation and sustainability) that develop innovative business professionals who can function effectively in the global economy. The programme also allows a student to complete the first year and gain a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Management.

The Master of Information Technology programme focusses on both in-depth theoretical knowledge of the IT environment and professional practice in which the knowledge and understanding are applied. The programme also allows a student to complete the first year and gain a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology.

Speaking about the new course, Chief Executive Chris Collins said that they see India as one of the fastest growing economies in the world, as a place where capable students are looking for institutions of high repute where they can go and study.

The programmes being launched are the Master in Applied Management, Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Management, Master in Information Technology and the Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology.

Helen Kemp, the International Manager for EIT, also announced a special NZ$500 textbook allowance for all students who apply for these Masters and Post Graduate programmes in 2015.
