EOW attaches assets worth Rs 3,109.6 crore in NSEL case

Today, Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police attached assets worth Rs 3,109.67 crore and has frozen 325 bank accounts in the Rs 5,600-crore NSEL case of the directors of the sport exchange as well as borrowers. The total amount in the bank accounts so far is Rs 172.15 crore.

EOW has also attached shares and investments worth Rs 252.6 crore. On Saturday, Jignesh Shah and Joseph Massey, directors of NSEL had also come to EOW to brief the police officials about the settlement recovery process. Shah said that settlement talks are on with borrowers.
