Haryana nod for 3 private varsities

The universities are expected to implement efforts of the govt to expand higher education

Haryana Cabinet, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, on Wednesday approved the ordinance for setting up of Ashoka University (Sonepat), Al Falah University (Faridabad) and BML Munjal University (Gurgaon) for the development and advancement of higher education in varied streams.

The Haryana Private Universities Act was enacted in 2006. Under the provisions of this Act, proposals were received for establishing these universities. These universities are expected to implement the efforts of the government to expand higher education.
