BJP president Amit Shah today said the Narendra Modi government has made it clear that security of the country's borders is of prime importance and no compromise will be made on that issue.

"By calling all Saarc nations in the oath-taking ceremony, the Narendra Modi-led government had sent out a message that India wants to move forward by taking along everybody.

"The secretary-level talks with Pakistan started on our initiative, but when Pakistan started talking to the separatists, then our Prime Minister immediately said there can either be talks with separatists or with the government," Shah told a rally here.

"After a long time a prime minister is ruling the country with such a clear foreign policy. Narendra Modi has made it clear that there is nothing above the interest of our borders or country. If the country's interests are not served, then there can be no talks," he said.

Praising Narendra Modi for work done by the NDA government in the first 100 days, the BJP president said after a long time India has got a Prime Minister who speaks and understands the issues of the masses.

"In 100 days, this government and our prime minister have given the people of this country a hope that there is this person who can bring change.

"Several steps have been taken to contain price rise and it is slowly coming under control. SIT has been formed to bring back the black money to India," said Shah.
