The Lok Sabha was disrupted again on Friday over the issue of demonetisation. The house witnessed two adjournments even before noon. The house was first adjourned till 11.30 a.m. minute after it met on Friday as Opposition created ruckus once again.

The Opposition has been demanding a debate on the issue of demonetisation with voting.

At 11.30 a.m. when the house met again, the scene was the same.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said the minority was keeping the majority away from discussion.

"This is not the way... when the majority wants to participate in a discussion, they are disrupting," Kumar said.

"They must apologise to the nation. They are wasting people's money," he said.

The Opposition's ruckus, however, only grew louder and Speaker Sumitra Mahajan adjourned the house till noon.

Meanwhile Rajya Sabha was adjourned till noon on Friday as the Opposition criticised the government for reducing import duty on wheat to zero per cent.

Sitaram Yechury of the CPI (M) raised the issue which was supported by the Congress, the Bahujan Samaj Party and others.

Deputy Chairman P.J. Kurien asked the members to maintain silence and let the house function, but they did not pay any attention to his pleas.

The opposition members began shouting slogans like "anti-farmer government will not be allowed to function".

The house was then adjourned till noon.
