Mini Bus operators call strike on Aug 19-20 in Kolkata

In a bid to pressure the government to increase bus fare, the mini bus operators in Kolkata have called a two-day bus strike on August 19-20.

"We are going for a 48-hour bus strike from August 19. We want the mini bus fares to be increased. The bus fares have to be increased to minimum Rs 10 at the starting," said a spokesperson of Mini Bus operators. he joint council of bus syndicate already called a bus strike on August 19-20 demanding bus fare hike in the wake of the recent oil price hike.
