At least 10 Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) activists were arrested for allegedly creating ruckus in a Zara showroom of apparel at Lower Parel area here to oppose the sale of 'Pakistani brands' of clothes.

Those arrested included an MNS corporator Datta Narvankar and three women, who were later released on bail, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-III) Pravin Padwal today.

The activists barged into the showroom inside Phoenix mall yesterday after coming to know of the outlet selling the apparel and accessories of 'Pakistani brands,' said the official.

The activists shouted slogans against Pakistan and threw out the stock of Pakistani brand garments, he said.

According to the officer, the activists also warned the shop management not to sell the cloths of Pakistani brands.

The personnel from NM Joshi Marg police station rushed to the showroom and detained 10 MNS activists. They were brought to the police station and subsequently arrested, he said adding they were later released on bail.

A case under section 143 (unlawful assembly) of IPC was lodged and the probe is on, he added.
