"The Inspectors and Superintendents of Central Excise will observe a countywide 3-day strike between March 29 and March 31 against the apathetic and indifferent attitude of the concerned authorities," All India Association of Central Excise Gazetted Executive Officers said in a statement.
Ravi Malik Secretary General of the Association said the strike call has been jointly given by Associations consisting Superintendents and Inspectors and work at airports and factories will suffer. He added that about 30,000 officials will go on strike.
The strike call has been given in view of lack of promotional avenues and working conditions.
The decision for the strike was taken during a combined meeting of the All India Association of Central Excise Gazetted Executive Officers and All India Central Excise Inspectors Association, the statement added.
