Mobile-based medical networking application Curofy that enables safe? and secure communication between doctors is all set to woo the Gujarat market by empanelling with the doctors of this region.

The platform basically entitles doctors to easily connect with other doctors for collaborative learning and holistic patient treatment. Another networking application for doctors, modelled on the lines of LinkedIn was launched in November last year, called Plexusmd.com.

"The agenda behind this venture is to build a medical network for the purpose of collaborative learning and network expansion of Indian doctors and enhancing the Medical services across India," a press statement here said. It added that Curofy with its online medical directory pre-populates profiles of doctors based on the public data; they fill their basic details to enter into the premium network post verification.

"It’s a spam-free and secure environment to communicate with each other, provide referrals, share cases, call other doctors without saving numbers and have access to loads of most recent, speciality-wise developments taking place in the fields of medicine, surgery, nutrition and dentistry, and even provide a platform for collaborative learning.? Curofy has recently launched its job module which experienced a 20 per cent application rate of? medical jobs in its pilot phase," the statement claimed.

Speaking about the developments in Gujarat, Mudit Vijayvergiya, co-founder, Curofy, says “Gujarat is one of the most developed states of India and adoption of technology is quick here, hence we are confident about the immense use of Curofy app by the doctors of Gujarat"

Curofy got funded, in a reality television-type formatted live event on CNBC called TiE the Knot at TiEcon 2014, a conference organised by The Indus Entrepreneurs in October.
