Chief minister Naveen Patnaik today reviewed the implementation of Food Security Act in the state. The names of beneficiaries and digitisation records have been completed in Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation and Bhubaneswar block, where the scheme was launched on pilot basis.
The state government has also taken a decision to appoint the state food commissioner in the state as required under the Act. Officers of the level of additional district magistrate (ADM) will be appointed as the District Grievance Redressal Officer (DGRO). Patnaik stressed on identification of beneficiaries for the Food Security Act.
