LJP President Ramvilas Paswan today demanded that Nitish Kumar government remove Rs 24.5 tax on a litre petrol for the relief of the common people in Bihar.

Accusing the NDA of staging a drama on the issue of rise in price of petrol, Paswan told reporters if the tax was reduced it would help ease people's problems.

He wondered why the state government was not following other states which had decreased the price.
