Non-performing central government employees will not get annual pay hike if their performance is not upto the mark, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said today.

The Seventh Central Pay Commission has in its report recommended withholding annual increments of non-performers in the case of those employees who are not able to meet the benchmark.

The government has accepted this recommendation, the Minister of State for Personnel said in a written reply to Lok Sabha.
