Prithviraj Chavan appeals to people not to panic over Pune blast

Earlier today, the Pune police had confirmed that three were injured in a blast on a stolen motor cycle outside Faraskhana police station

Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan appealed to the people of Pune not to panic and believe in rumors over the blast that took place this afternoon outside Faraskhana police station near Dagadusheth Halvai Ganesh Temple.

"According to the local police of Pune a low intensity IED was placed on a motorcycle outside Faraskhana police station, the blast took place after at 2 PM , three were injured and the motor cycles parked nearby were damaged. It was stolen bike and the police is trying to trace its origin," said Chavan.

"I appeal to the people of Pune to not panic and not to believe in rumours and cooperate with the investigation as the police is still present at the site collecting clues," he added.

Earlier today, the Pune police had confirmed that three were injured in a blast on a stolen motorcycle outside Faraskhana police station near Dagadusheth Halvai Ganesh Temple, out of which one person was hospitalized and two had received minor injuries.
