In a major administrative reshuffle, 111 IAS and IPS officials have been transferred in Uttar Pradesh.
Prominent among those transferred include one principal secretary, two divisional commissioners, four secretaries, 25 district magistrates, 27 district police chiefs and 11 special secretaries.
Chandrapal has been made principal secretary, science and technology, commissioner of Garhwal Santosh Kumar has been made the commissioner of Saharanpur and Brij Mohan Vora has been made the commissioner of Garhwal. District magistrates of Lucknow, Kanpur Dehat, Faizabad, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Etawah and Shahjahanpur were among those transferred. and police chiefs of Meerut, Ghaziabad, Agra, Gorakhpur, Mathura, Jhansi, Etawah and Kanpur were among those tranferred.
The administrative reshuffle by the Kalyan Singh government was effected late Thursday night.
