Mumbai Police Commissioner Hasan Gafoor, who drew flak for the way police responded to the 26/11 terror attacks, was today shifted from the key post.

Gafoor, who held the high-profile office for over a year, has been moved out of the post to the Police Housing Corporation as its Managing Director and elevated as Director General of Police.

The top police officer brushed aside linking his transfer to the terror strikes, saying "I was due for promotion...This has nothing to do with November 26 terror attack."

The report of the Pradhan Committee, which went into the terror attacks, is slated to come up before the state legislature which meets next week.
