Opposing the Centre's move of not granting power subsidies in Delhi's interim Budget, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday termed the move as a "betrayal" of public's trust.

The AAP said it had made provisions for providing subsidies till September before resigning.

"When the preparations for the interim Budget had started, the AAP government had made a provision for this relief to continue and the power department was ready with its proposal. The Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government's decision to reverse this pro-people measure is a betrayal of the trust of the Delhi people," the party said.

Moily attacks Kejriwal
Coming down hard on AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal for ordering a First Information Report against him and others for raising gas prices, Petroleum Minister M Veerappa Moily said the former Delhi Chief Minister didn’t understand fundamental laws. "The allegation against me is against the cabinet. It was its decision, and not a personal one.”
