Andhra ranks top in Crisil rating

The Andhra Pradesh power sector has been once again assigned 'First rank' for its overall performance in 2005-06 in the Crisil rating exercise commissioned by the Union ministry of power.

This is the third time the state has been ranked first by Crisl (FY03, FY05 and FY06).

The crisil rating has been given based on the performance of the power utilities in the state, the government and the regulator, according to a press release.
