BJPs backward class MP from Hamirpur, Ganga Charan Rajput, met President Shankar Dayal Sharma in a delegation yesterday and urged him to send a message to the Lok Sabha to include 27 per cent OBC quota in the women reservation bill.
Janata Dal leader Kesri Singh Gujjar was also a part of the delegation headed by Rajput. Sharma assured the delegation that he would look into the matter, Rajput told the `Business Standard.
There was no need for a separate reservation for Muslim women as the OBC quota would take care of that he told the President, he said.
