The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will take a final decision on Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa on Wednesday. It does not want the crisis in the state to linger any longer.
“The core committee of the BJP met and we have decided that the final decision will be announced on Wednesday. I will speak to Yeddyurappa later in the evening to take the decision,” said Nitin Gadkari, BJP’s national head, who had earlier been authorised to decide.
Party sources said panchayat and taluk elections in the state are due soon and the idea was not to affect their cadre.
