Leader of the opposition in the Bihar assembly Sushil Kumar Modi and state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary Saryu Roy yesterday charged the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) with working under pressure from the Centre and the state government and deliberately delaying the filing of chargesheets against Chief Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav and other politicians despite having enough evidence against them. Both the leaders said that the Chief Minister should have been interrogated six months ago and demanded that Yadav should be immediately arrested, his government be dismissed and his property seized.

They said the BJP would burn Yadavs effigy from block to district levels on January 11 in protest against him retaining his post despite being indicted.
