To ensure justice to the tribal workers, National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) on Tuesday instructed the government to form a committee and probe the matter before punishing any employee belonging to the Scheduled Tribes.

The NCST instructed the Department of Personnel and Training that the probe committee must have at least two members belonging to the Scheduled Tribes.

"The decision has been taken to ensure that the personnel belonging to the Scheduled Tribes are not denied justice," NCST Joint Secretary Shishir Kumar.

The commission has asked the Department of Personnel and Training to convey this to all ministries and departments.
