Congress gets majority in Nanded civic body

Former Maharsahtra chief minister Ashok Chavan has succeeded in retaining the Congress party’s supremacy in the 81-member Nanded municipal corporation. The Congress, which had contested the elections alone, bagged 41 seats. The party has received the support of one independent.
