Core Sops Lined Up In Maharashtra Biotech Policy

The biotechnology (BT) policy of Maharashtra, awaiting clearance from the state legislature, proposes to offer infrastructural support to the industry. This includes setting up of new BT parks concentrating on pharmaceuticals and agriculture at Pune and Aurangabad, respectively. Other such park sites will be selected subsequently.

Apart from the facilities common to any technology park, the BT parks will offer GMP facilities in conformity with US Food and Drug Administration norms.
