The empowered group of ministers on telecom, under its new head, Home Minister P Chidambaram, is slated to meet on Thursday, to take a final decision on the reserve price of auction of 2G spectrum. The Department of Telecommunications has also asked Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Chairman Rahul Khullar to make a presentation on impact of the base price on operators and on rates, a deciding factor for a consensus on the contentious issue of spectrum price.
