Faster response to terror needed, Chidambaram tells CMs

Home Minister P Chidambaram has asked chief ministers of states to raise level of preparedness and enhance speed of response to terror activities.

While addressing the conference of chief ministers today, Chidambaram said, there was a proposal to enhance state police forcesand that a multi-centre agency would function 24/7 from  January 2009.
