Fdi Proposals Worth Rs 477 Crore Okayed

The government today approved 32 foreign direct investment (FDI) proposals worth Rs 477 crore.

These include Carrier Corp's proposal to convert its public listed 51 per cent subsidiary, Carrier Aircon, into a wholly-owned one, and Positra SEZ Estates' proposal to offer 49 per cent stake to ITN International, USA, at a consideration of Rs 235 crore.

The proposals were cleared by commerce and industry minister Murasoli Maran on the recommendations of the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB).
