Foreign exchange reserves rose in the week ending December 27 by $ 204.9 million to $ 295.71 billion, shows Reserve Bank of India (RBI) data released Friday.
Foreign currency assets, a key component of reserves rose by $ 164.3 million to $268.63 billion. Gold reserves remained unchanged at $ 20.60 billion.
For the week under review, the Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) rose by $ 30.3 million to $ 4.46 billion, while India's reserve position with the International Monetary Fund was up $ 10.3 million to $ 2.01 billion.
