Govt to set up separate cell for infra development
In his address to the joint session of the State Legislature, Governor Rameshwar Thakur noted that Bangalore has now become Greater Bangalore, and from 226 sq Kms, the municipal area has grown to 800 sq kms.
"Globally, Bangalore has gained in importance. Growth has also generated problems such as high traffic density, deficiencies in water supply and sanitation and pollution", he said.
