Himachal Pradesh granted permission to 13 new industrial proposals and five expansion proposals involving an investment of Rs 330 crore here recently.
“The new proposals include Reddy’s laboratories, Marico Ltd, LS Industries, JHS Svendgaad hygiene products Ltd, Rich Graviss products Ltd, Resource foods Ltd, Johnson and Johnson and Bajaj Steel,” said a spokesman of the state government.
These projects are expected to generate 2,017 jobs.
The projects were cleared by the state single-window clearance and monitoring authority headed by state Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal.
State Industries Minister Krishan Kapoor said the industries department had created a land bank and developed plots were being allotted to prospective entrepreneurs with allied infrastructural facilities.
