The Income Tax Department today conducted searches on the premises of toll road firm IRB Infrastructure at various locations.
Searches were conducted in Mumbai and Pune and were also spread over other cities, a senior official of the department told Business Standard.
He added a connected survey had also been conducted on another company in Nagpur, but said it was a consequential survey and not a search.
He declined to provide any details of the outcome of the search and survey operation.
IRB Infrastructure shares closed at Rs 184, down 2.8 points, or 1.5 per cent, on the Bombay Stock Exchange after reports of the searches .
The company did not respond to queries on the development.
