| P S Bajaj, chairman of DLP, said, "We see an enormous opportunity here in the east for management studies. Our DLP has seen a steady increase of applications from this part of the country and we wanted to set up a regular regional centre to cater to our students' day-to-day needs and make the course more interactive for them." |

| This institute has also tied up with various corporates like GE Corp and Ericsson for their executive programmes. |

| The DLP was affiliated to Vidyasagar University nationally to give academic credibility to the programme. |
