India gives Rs 2.78 cr for construction of 6 schools in Nepal

Government of India has provided Rs 2.78 crore for the construction of six school buildings in a southern Nepalese district.
 
Shress Rastriya Primary School buildings will be constructed at six villages in Dhanusha districts.
 
The school that caters over 2,100 students, almost half of them being girls, is currently functioning in dilapidated buildings.
 
While laying foundation stone for these school buildings, Indian Ambassador to Nepal Rakesh Sood on Monday said India-Nepal Cooperation Programme is a cornerstone for the relationship between two nations.
 
He hoped various developments projects that are being implemented under the programme across Nepal would help people in attaining peace and prosperity.
 
India-Nepal Economic Cooperation Programme has an outlay of over Rs 3562.50 crore and more than 385 large and small projects are either completed or being implemented across Nepal in education, health and infrastructural sectors.
