Ipps Approach Ptc For Selling Power

Several companies have approached the Power Trading Corporation (PTC) to develop large- and medium-hydel power plants in the Himalayan region and inexpensive pit-head thermal projects, from where the utility can evacuate and sell power to consumers.

The prospective independent power producers have been asked to submit details of their projects and tariffs so that PTC can initiate talks with customers, the corporation chairman and managing director TN Thakur told reporters here today.
