121 students took part in placement drive, and all got offers

The International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) here has received a good response from the global IT companies to its placement drive for the class of 2003.

The highest pay was offered by Oracle to a student with an annual package of Rs 4 lakh, while the average salary for the batch was at Rs 2.52 lakh.

The batch consisted of 133 students, of which 94 were B Tech and 39 M Tech. Of them, 121 participated in the placement exercise and all got offers.

TCS stood at the top among the recruiters by taking in 26 students, followed by Satyam Computer Services and Wipro Technologies at eleven students each. There were seven girl students among those placed.

According to a release, other major companies that have participated in the placement season included ADP Wilco, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Keane, Mastek, Motorola, Oracle, Pramati Technologies, SEEC, Virtusa, Xius and Zensar Technologies.
