Joint Committee for BAPL

West Bengal government has decided to set up a joint committee to look into issues, including those related to land, in the airport city project in Andal, promoted by Bengal Aerotropolis Projects Limited (BAPL). The committee is expected to submit its report by July 31this year. So far, the West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC) has acquired and handed over 1,818 acres of land to the BAPL for the project. Though the proposed 2,300 acres project area is now reduced by 144 acres, the developers are are still waiting to get remaining 338 acres.
